Bumps In The Village Road

February 25th, 2009 by Bed Post Betty

At one point in my life I lived in a small village in upstate New York. It’s a quiet little village where there’s not much excitement, but it was full of out of control fun and adventure on one day.

Have you ever been so crazy about someone that it blurred your vision and made you throw all caution to the wind? You know, the kind of lusty passionate love that makes you think you’re the only two people in the whole world. I had myself a “someone” like that.  I would get so lost in him he could make me not care if a whole village was around us! Like the time I was driving my old boat I fondly called my Bonneville, through that “whole village around us”. Before I knew it the car was in park and we were “having a bonding” moment outside in front of “my boat” right slap in the middle of the road! It didn’t matter that it was in the middle of the afternoon or that it was pouring rain out. That, simple put, just made it hotter! I don’t even think we would have stopped if it hadn’t been for that damned car coming down the small village road. He could have turned around and went around the block! He could see we were busy!

I was little more carefree back then and loved spontaneity. Forbidden or naughty lust and living for the moment are powerful ingredients! They can cook up one hell of a dish you wish you could forget, but are so very glad you can’t.

Ok, I know you have had a bump or two in the road somewhere! Give it up! What happened?
